A-Rod was back at third base for the Yankees and he managed to play a game with no errors. The Rangers took an early 1-0 lead, but it was short lived. The Yankees tied the game in the third inning and went ahead for good in the fourth.

The Yankees beat Texas 6-2. Kevin Millwood got the loss for the Rangers. He allowed 2 runs over six innings of work. The difference was the errors committed by Texas. Texas allowed three unearned runs while Millwood was pitching. A-Rod had a decent day at the plate. He was 2 for 5 and drove in a run. One of his hits was a double.

The Yankees are in a heated battle with the Boston Red Sox for the AL East. They had hoped to pick up a game, but as of this writing, the Red Sox are all over Oakland. The AL West continues to be a back and forth affair with no team showing any type of dominance.
