Weng Wins Again

Chien-Ming Wang has picked up his 12th win of the season. He’s 12-4 now. The Yankees had no trouble getting past the hapless Devil Rays—6-0 final. The Devil Rays were mystified by Wang as he continually put them down. Wang allowed just 2 hits and 2 walks on the night. He only had a lone strikeout. Tampa Bay just could not hit the ball.

The Yankees pick up a crucial game on the Red Sox, who lost to the Angels. Tim Corcoran picks up the loss for the Devil Rays. He’s 4-2 on the season now. Corcoran only lasted 3.1 innings. He allowed 13 baserunners—6 of those were walks. It was not a good outing for the right hander.

It was Jeter’s day to shine. He was 3 for 5 with 2 RBI’s. He hit a double and scored a run. A-Rod managed to get through a game without committing an error. He got a hit and an RBI too. Perhaps the series in Texas is just what he needed to get back into form.
