The Detroit Tigers finished today’s game with a dramatic catch. They handed Jose Contreras another loss and continued to show their dominance for the American League Central. Joel Zumaya pitched two good innings to get the win. Todd Jones put down the White Sox in the 9th to get the save.

Jose Contreras had a pretty good game, but it was not enough. He went 7 good innings. He only gave up 2 runs over 6 hits and 1 walk. Still, it was not enough as Kenny Rogers, the Detroit starter, was on his game. Detroit took the game and the series 2-1.
