Well, we are almost half way through the 2006 MLB season. I can’t believe how fast it is moving. It’s time to look at how teams are doing again. There are some surprises on this list—both good and bad. You will notice some teams are still performing very well and some are still slumping. Here we go.

American League East

Boston : 10 over their last 10, winners of 10 straight.
New York : 6-4 over their last 10. They are 3 back now.
Toronto : 5-5 over their last 10 and slipping.
Baltimore: 6-4 over their last 10.
Tampa Bay : 4-10 over their last 10, losers of 3 straight.

American League Central

Detroit : 9-1 over their last 10, winners of 6 straight.
Chicago : 9-1 over their last 10 and keeping pace with Detroit.
Minnesota : 9-1 over their last 10 and surprising teams.
Cleveland : 4-6 over their last 10 and slipping.
Kansas City : 8-2 over their last 10 and playing amazingly well.

American League West

Oakland : 6-4 over their last 10 and hanging on to their lead.
Texas : 5-5 over their last 10 and sliding some.
Seattle : 8-2 over their last 10 and heating up.
Los Angeles : 5-5 over their last 10 and maintaining their distance.

National League East

New York : 5-5 over last 10,but gaining ground thanks to weak division.
Philadelphia : 2-8 over last 10, losers of 6 straight.
Florida : 7-3 over their last 10 and playing very well of late.
Washington : 3-7 over their last 10 and falling.
Atlanta : 3-7 over their last 10 and calling it quits.

National League Central

St. Louis : 2-8 over their last 10, losers of 8 straight and somehow in first place still.
Cincinnati : 4-6 over their last 10, but gaining thanks to poor play by St. Louis.
Milwaukee : 5-5 over their last 10 and treading water.
Houston : 2-8 over their last 10, losers of 3 straight, unable to score and the return of Roger Clemens is not helping thus far.
Chicago : 3-7 over their last 10 and waiting for next year.
Pittsburgh : 0-10 over their last 10, losers of 12 straight and waiting for the rules of the game to change so they can win.

National League West

San Diego : 6-4 over their last 10 and motivated.
Los Angeles : 4-6 over their last 10 and holding on.
Colorado : 5-5 over their last 10 and treading water.
San Francisco : 4-6 over their last 10
Arizona : 2-8 over their last 10 and falling fast.
