It’s time for an installment of trends. Today, we are going to look at each team to see who has been trending up, down or staying put over the past 10 days. There may be some surprises. Keep these trends in mind when you make your baseball selections. Let’s get started. Teams will be listed in the order of their current division standing.

American League East

Boston : They are trending down—lost 2 in a row as well.
New York: They have been staying even.
Toronto: The Blue Jays are trending down.
Baltimore: Staying even.
Tampa Bay: Trending down and lost two straight.

American League Central

Detroit: Getting back on the horse by winning 4 straight and trending up.
Chicago: Heating up and has won two straight—up trend.
Cleveland: Playing very poorly of late.
Minnesota: Treading water.
Kansas City: Playing like they are the Royals.

American League West

Texas: Losers of 2 straight and treading water.
Oakland: Winners of 5 straight and playing red hot.
Seattle: Playing very well.
Los Angeles: Winners of two straight, but pretty much staying even.

National League East

New York: Simply on fire. They have won 6 straight.
Philadelphia: Losers of two in a row and playing .500 ball.
Atlanta: Off the map.
Washington: Lost their last two, but playing a little better overall.
Florida: winners of three straight and playing much better.

National League Central

St. Louis: Won their last two, but overall they are slumping.
Cincinnati: Starting to fall. They have lost their last five.
Houston: Morale boost perhaps. They are playing .600 ball.
Milwaukee: Playing better.
Chicago: Treading water.
Pittsburg: Playing slightly better, for being the Pirates. Winning 5 of last 10 is an improvement for this team.

National League West

Arizona: Finally won a game yesterday. They are playing poorly.
Los Angeles: Up and down.
San Diego: Unpredictable.
Colorado: Staying put.
San Francisco: Have you seen them lately? Neither has the win column. Losers of 4 straight and going down.
