The Cleveland Indians got a little revenge today as they beat Boston 6-3. Once again, the Red Sox tried some 9th inning heroics, but despite 2 runs in the 9th, they fell short. There were 26 hits in this game and one error, which was committed by the Red Sox.
C.C. Sabathia got the victory. It’s just his 8th win this season (8-7). He pitched 8 innings and gave up a single run over 10 hits and 1 walk. He also struck out 8 batters. He looked very good tonight.
Jason Johnson added another loss to his record. He’s a pitiful 3-11 this season. He actually didn’t pitch too bad, but he Red Sox were shut down tonight. He went 5.2 innings and gave up 3 runs over 9 hits and 2 walks. He got 3 strikeouts.
Boston loses a critical game—Yanks win their game. The Indians are just playing spoiler and trying to make something of their lost season.
