Error-prone teams

It’s early in the 2007 MLB season, but we’re already seeing sloppy play. I was pouring over some MLB stats last night and I found 7 teams that were committing at least one error per game already. I also found a lone team that has yet to commit a single error—and it might surprise you.

The New York Yankees have committed the most errors so far. They are committing 1.6 errors per game already—eight errors in five games.

Here are the top 7 error-prone teams so far:

1. New York Yankees – 1.60 errors per game.
2. Washington Nationals – 1.29 errors per game.
3. Arizona Diamondbacks – 1 error per game.
4. Baltimore Orioles – 1 error per game.
5. Cleveland Indians – 1 error per game.
6. Houston Astros – 1 error per game.
7. Cincinnati Reds – 1 error per game.

So, who is the only team in the entire league to not have a single error? That would be the Kansas City Royals. They are errorless through six games.

So much for the Royals having no errors. They committed two errors in their game against Toronto yesterday.

Houston committed two more errors yesterday.
