This is our first installment of many in our “Scoring Report” series. Twice weekly we’ll break down each team and show you their season-to-date performance numbers for: hits, hits given up, runs, runs given up, their hits to runs ratio and their opponent’s hits to runs ratio.
This series will be presented each Tuesday and Friday. We’ll break down the report by divisions. Here’s the AL West.
Explanation: Having a lower hits to run ratio is better. It means that the team needs less hits to score a run. For instance, if a team’s ratio is 2.5, they score one run per 2.5 hits.
