The Yankees are quickly becoming one of the most over-hyped teams in baseball. Since 2000, what have the New York Yankees done—besides blow almost-guaranteed series victories?
The Yankees have been to the World Series twice since 2000 and they’ve lost both times. In 2001, they lost to the Arizona Diamondbacks and in 2003 the Florida Marlins beat them.
It seems that 2004 was a pivotal season for the New York Yankees. The Boston Red Sox came back—somehow—from death’s door to beat the Yankees in the playoffs. The Red Sox went on to win the 2004 World Series.
The new Sports Betting Baseball MLB Totals Report is showing that the average number of runs being scored per game is 9.
The totals lines are being set pretty well from a house perspective. There have been 152 overs, 157 unders and 21 pushes. Betting either side all the time is losing money.
The Oakland A’s are officially an under team. Over 21 games, only 4 have went over the total. Yes, that’s 17 unders. If you’ve been following our reports, you might have picked up on this before and cashed in.
Here’s the entire MLB Totals Report:
The Arizona Diamondbacks and Los Angeles Dodgers continue to have the best ratios. For them, it’s just a matter of getting the hits to begin with.
The Giants are showing some improvement and they’ve been winning some games lately.

The new Sports Betting Baseball MLB Sides Report shows that betting the favorites (overall) is still the best plan.
Favorites on the road continues to come in strong. With 100 games played where the favorite was the road team, the running bankroll is up 24.87 units.
That said, betting the dogs at home will kill you. The running bankroll for home dogs is down 27.43 units on the MLB season so far.
Your MLB Sides Report:
It’s no coincidence that perhaps the worst team in baseball, the Washington Nationals, leads the MLB in errors. They are committing just over one error per game (25 errors in 23 games).
The best team is the Colorado Rockies. In 23 games this season, they’ve only committed seven errors, which is a error ratio of just .30.
Here’s your Sports Betting Baseball MLB Error Report:
The new Sports Betting Baseball Money Rankings Report is out. This report includes all games played through tonight.
The worst team to bet on in the MLB is the New York Yankees. Much of this is because of their recent slide. They are sitting at -1085 right now, which is almost 300 more than the next closest team (Chicago Cubs at -780).
At +793, the Cleveland indians are the best in the MLB right now.
Here’s the whole report.
There’s no cause for alarm. Barry Zito’s ERA is being to plummet to expected levels. After his April 8th game against the LA Dodgers, who are in first place, many started to wonder if he was worth all the money.
In that contest, Zito gave up 8 runs and 9 hits over 6 innings. However, this proved to be a fluke as he proceeded to dominate his next two outings.
Favorites continue to bring home the money. This report shows one thing very clear: stay away from $2.00+ favorites. If you bet all the $2.00+ favorites so far (16 games), you’d be down almost 8 units. That’s surprising considering 15 of those 16 games were home games for the big favorite.
Betting every favorite for all games this MLB season would yield you +39.6 units.
Here’s your entire Sports Betting Baseball MLB Sides Report for April 22.
It’s no surprise that the Texas Rangers and Oakland A’s have positive hit/run ratios and they are at the top of the AL West.
The Mariners continue to slide, while the Angels have started to get it together in recent nights.
The Detroit Tigers are looking the best in the AL Central.
The entire division is about average. There’s no team that really separates itself from its opponents.
The Boston Red Sox continue to dominate the hits/run ratios for the AL East.
Their ratio is down to 1.69 and their holding their opponents to a 2.46 ratio.
Sports Betting Baseball has yet another new MLB report for the season. We call it the MLB Totals Report and we’ll bring it to you weekly on Wednesdays.
Our MLB Totals Report will show you:
Here’s our first MLB Totals Report for the season.
Sports Betting Baseball has a new MLB statistical report. We call it the Error Report and it will be delivered weekly, on Tuesdays. The new Error Report will quickly show you what teams are committing costly errors at an amazing pace. The report will rank teams by their “Error Ratio,” which is the number of errors they commit per game on average.
For instance, the New York Yankees are currently the worst team in the MLB with a 1.17 error ratio. This means that the New York Yankees commit about 1.17 errors per game. Our Error Report also shows the number of games that have been played by the team.
In this Error Report, you’ll quickly see that the New York Yankees, Washington Nationals, Texas Rangers and Cleveland Indians all commit at least one error per game on average. The four best teams are the Pittsburgh Pirates, New York Mets, Florida Marlins, and Detroit Tigers. Each of those teams has only committed four errors all season.
Here’s our first Error Report.
The LA Dodgers continue to pull away, as far as these stats go, in the NL West. Their opponent’s hit/run ratio is a healthy 2.55 now. Meanwhile, their hit/run ratio is under 2 at 1.91.
The San Francisco Giants continue to struggle and their numbers show why.
This entire division is shaky. The teams that have positive hit/run ratios are just barely positive. The NL Central is possibly the most wide-open division in the MLB.
The Cubs are expected to have a good offense, but they aren’t getting the job done so far this season.
It’s no secret that the Washington Nationals are a poor team, but looking at their numbers shows just how horrendous they are.
Their hit/run ratio is over 100 points higher than their opponents. They are getting hits (106), but they just can’t seem to get runs across the plate (37). Meanwhile, they are holding their opponents to about the same hit production (113), but their opponents are scoring at will (74 runs).
The Seattle Mariners and Texas Rangers both have positive hit/run numbers. The Rangers have played more games, so their numbers are much stronger.
We’ll see how things play out when the Mariners stop getting rained and snowed out of games.
The Kansas City Royals have the worst differential in this division. They are almost 60 points worse than their opponents.
They’ve allowed the most runs (69) and hits (127) of any team in their division.
The Boston Red Sox continue to improve their numbers. They have the best differential between their hit/run ratio and their opponent’s hit/run ratio.
Welcome to the first installment of Sports Betting Baseball’s MLB Sides Report. Every Friday we’ll release a new installment. Each report will show some great MLB betting statistical breakdowns such as:
Without further delay, here is the premier installment of Sports Betting Baseball’s MLB Sides Report.
With 169 MLB games so far this season, there’s one trend that has taken shape. Road teams are where it’s at. Road teams have won just over 50% of the games (86 of 169) and road favorites are cleaning up.
The new Sports Betting Baseball Money Rankings is out. If you’re constantly betting on the Philadelphia Phillies, you’re getting hosed. The Phillies are now at -745 on the season.
The best team to constantly bet on is currently the Cleveland Indians. They’re at +425 so far. The Los Angeles Dodgers (+405) and the Arizona Diamondbacks (+405) are close behind.
Here’s your Sports Betting Baseball Money Rankings report for April 15:
The Totals Report is showing that a strong number of games in the MLB this season are playing to under the total. The average number of runs per MLB game is 8.5.
Here’s your full Totals Report for today.
We’re starting a new series at Sports Betting Baseball. We call it the “Totals Report“. This new report will appear every Wednesday on Sports Betting Baseball.
Could the NL West be the strongest division so far this season? The entire division, except the Giants, has a positive hits to run ratio. It will be interesting to see what happens when they all start playing outside the division.
Yesterday, Arizona defeated Cincinnati and lowered their hits to run ratio some. The Giants improved their ratio some, but they are still at an abysmal 3.22.
The Chicago Cubs spent a lot of money to improve this year and they are expected to do well on offense. However, they have yet to show up this season. Their hits to run ratio is 2.32 and climbing higher. Yesterday they only got across two runs on seven hits (3.5).
This entire division is around 2 hits per run or over. So far, the Cincinnati Reds look the best.
Everyone knows that the Washington Nationals are a horrible team. Their hits to run ratio is a whopping 3.53. Their opponent’s hits to run ratio is only 1.47. That’s a huge discrepancy.
The Atlanta Braves and New York Mets are making their opponents work.
| Chicago White Sox | ||||||||||||
|
The Baltimore Orioles, New York Yankees and the Toronto Blue Jays all have a positive hits to run ratio.
The Boston Red Sox are the worst off. Their hits to run ratio is in the negative by 37 points.
This is our first installment of many in our “Scoring Report” series. Twice weekly we’ll break down each team and show you their season-to-date performance numbers for: hits, hits given up, runs, runs given up, their hits to runs ratio and their opponent’s hits to runs ratio.
This series will be presented each Tuesday and Friday. We’ll break down the report by divisions. Here’s the AL West.
It’s early in the 2007 MLB season, but we’re already seeing sloppy play. I was pouring over some MLB stats last night and I found 7 teams that were committing at least one error per game already. I also found a lone team that has yet to commit a single error—and it might surprise you.
We’ve set up a new project for Sports Betting Baseball. We call it “Money Rankings.” Do you want to know what teams are the most profitable to bet on? How about what teams that are costing bettors a fortune? That’s exactly what the Money Rankings will show you.
This is the inaugural Money Rankings report. We hope you find it useful. Sports Betting Baseball will be releasing its Money Rankings every Monday.
